We Knew It As We Fell

We Knew It As We Fell is a body of work created during a period of deep transition in my life, when I moved to a farm in rural Oregon. Leaving behind everything familiar—our families, our routines, our way of living—to grow food and care for the land and animals revealed the fragile foundation beneath us. Each day, as we worked to build a new life upon it, the cracks widened until it could no longer hold. Still, I cherish those silent winters in the woods, sitting by the fire, the mornings spent milking goats, and the seasons of heirloom tomatoes and strawberries ripening in the garden. These are the things that have shaped me.
